Ok i know this is in the wrong section but i posted in other sections and didn’t get any answers. Well I am pregnant and I want to continue my education (im on my sisters account by the way) Im 17 (just turned last week) I dropped out of high school and got my GED so now i want to get a degree but being pregnant and going to have a baby i dont think i can manage going to a campus so i was looking at going online. The thing is I dont know what i want to major in. I dont want to pick something and have it not work out because i tend to do that, so i was thinking of getting a degree in general studies (to start off with, just something so i can have a degree and get a better job, but would also give me more time to decide what i want to do) do you think that it would be a good idea to do that? Or will employers think im not focused if they see i have a degree in general studies? What type of job could i get if i had a degree in general studies, like an office job or something? Also what online colleges are good? any i should stay away from? Again im sorry this is in the wrong section but i really need some answers, i dont want to spend the rest of my life working at a dead end minimum wage job, I want to be able to provide for my child
also, has anyone else tried distant learning? How did it work out for you?
excuse you but if it were up to me i wouldnt go to college, but im having a baby so i need to get a better education and a good job to provide for my child, hense the online school so i can stay home and take care of the baby and work.
and if it were up to me I would have stayed in high school and not got my ged, but i droped out and got my GED so i can work and go to college for my child! I am in no way being selfish
(this is all directed at the first jackass who answered)
and my baby will be just fine, I have money saved up about 5,000 but that wont last long, but i have a part time job right now and my b/f has a full time job, I live with my sister and pay her rent.

I think you will ahve to put your education on hold until the baby gets here and you have arranged good childcare for it. You are so concerned abotu yourself and what you will major in, you should be concerned with how the baby is going to eat!
