The “graduate” of any online program may have done nothing more than hire an impostor to take online classes. the school has no way of knowing who is actually at the computer. Is it the student, an imposotr, or both at the same time. as a result ANY online program is not well accepted.
Avoid ANY online-only school or ANY for-profit school. Many are outright scams. See RipoffReport.com for reviews.
As for legit universities offering interior design-For an example see the Illinois State University website at ILSTU.edu. The program can be hard to get into and not very marketable. In addition , the job prospects for someone with an interior design degree are not good, even with a well respected university background..
