Senior year of high school and I need scholarships for college where do I begin?

What happened with me is that i was sent to a private boarding school in iowa called midwest academy, and while i was at the academy my father would not allow me to take the ACT so now i have to wait until April 13th to take the ACT for my first time, and i [...]

last year i was attending a university, and the coarses i was talking i needed to have a B average
and i slipped below that and got a few C’s, anyway i was kicked out of school.
they told me i would be allowed to go to another State University again after 1 semester so Spring 2012. [...]

I’ve pretty much decided to put off college for at least one year. I’ll probably get a job during that time, but what are some other ideas? I’d love to travel but that’s not a feasible option for me.

I’ve read ‘John Adams’ by David McCullough and I’m just starting ‘Truman’ by the same author. Clearly, I’m very intrigued and interested in the Presidents of the United States. Any book suggestions about the office in particular or the US Presidents in their entirety would be appreciated!
