Best online degree for master’s in education? – Univ. of Phoenix?

I am considering the University of Phoenix or a similar institution for my master’s in education – probably in curriculum & instruction or reading emphasis. I already have my bachelor’s degree in music ed. and I am certified to teach K-12 in the state of FL. I am attracted to UoP for their flexibility, the classes are only 6 wks and you only have to take 1 at a time. I would finish in 17 months and it would cost about 18,000. The price is a little high but the convenience factor is worth it to me. There are no local universities I can do this at – the closest one is 1 1/2 hrs. away. Anyone have any experience with Phoenix or a similar institution? Do school administrators look kindly on online degrees from your experience? thanks so much.

Good news! For your particular situation online grad school is a fantastic choice!

Online Masters are one of the most common forms of online degree and are widely accepted across almost all sectors as long as you get it from a reputable school with a good track record and credential.

Choosing University of Phoenix was a great place to start as it’s a very well known institution in the Online Education sector. However, before you invest in tuition you should really explore your options a bit more.

There are plenty of other reputable colleges who may have a more comprehensive music education program for Grad School students.

Off the top of my head I would definitely recommend seeing what Kaplan can offer as well.
