I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and i want to do councelling online, can i actually get in trouble with law like going to jail or being fined if i practice councelling. Where can i get more information about the legal right i have?
Licensing is required in most states to practice as a psychologist — its counseling for compensation. I would visit your state’s website, or a national psychology association. It’s kind of odd that you didnt get better counseling at the institution giving you a degree. Call them, too.
Consult your state board of psychology by doing a simple web search for “(enter your state’s name here) board of psychology.” This site should give you the minimum requirements for providing the services of which you’re speaking.

yes you can get in trouble – check with your local licensing agency on requirements for counseling services
