So, you lied to an employer and you are proud of this?

No, thank you. I legitimately earned my degrees. It took plenty of blood, sweat, Natty Lite and Adderall, but they are mine and not based on a lie.

Yup. Very common practise in Canada many employers are finding out it is best to check sources.

If they are selling fake diplomas for $50, I would wager a Liberal Arts Degree would sell for $1.99

When I am done with school my degree from Purdue it is going to respected and legitimate. You cannot learn team work, or how to think in a library you only learn facts. If was your employer and I found out that you lied I would fire you on the spot. You just got scammed $50, that degree is worth less than toilet paper.

Try telling potential employers that you have they education the require without holding up a proper diploma.

PS: If you’re not educated in the first place, you wouldn’t even know where to start. Stupid people will check out the wrong books from the library and perpetuate their stupidity, but this time they don’t know they’re stupid.

No they are not being scammed. Brainwashed maybe, but not scammed. You won’t feel so smart when you get caught and get fired from that job.

They know, but as long as mommy and daddy are willing to pay for them to smoke weed and fornicate at a university for four years while they pursue an art history or women’s studies degree, they don’t care. Then they can pat each other on the back and have a false sense of superiority for the rest of their lives because they are so “educated”.

I know this is shocking but tons of companies exist to track if an applicant is being truthful.

Also, many field of studies require licensing by the state for employment.

In Florida, the following fields require an occupational license to practice:

Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco

Architects

Asbestos Contractors and Consultants

Athlete Agents

Auctioneers

Barbers

Boxing, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts

Building Code Administrators and Inspectors

Certified Public Accounting

Community Association Managers

Construction Industry

Cosmetology

Drugs, Devices and Cosmetics Program

Electrical and Alarm Contractors

Elevators and Other Conveyances, Technicians, Inspectors and Companies

Employee Leasing Companies

Geologists

Harbor Pilots

Home Inspectors

Hotels, Motels, Apartments and other lodging

Interior Design

Landscape Architecture

Mold-Related Services

Pari-Mutuel Wagering Facilities

Real Estate

Restaurants, Take-outs, Delivery, Caterers and Mobile Food Vendors

Talent Agencies

Veterinary Medicine

Yacht and Ship Brokers and Salespersons

You better believe the state checks your educational background before handing out an occupational license. You are also forgetting part of the purpose of college is to network. The best jobs are generally not advertised. My husband landed a job that doubled his salary because of an old buddy from school wanted someone who he felt like was on his team working for him.
