Stay in school….. one of the things a employer looks at in “Why did this person quit school?”

If it was because of the hassel, boring, didn’t like the controling and demands.

The Employer will pass him by, because work is a hassle and someone is always telling you what to do.

If you can’t hack school you can’t hack life.

I’ve never been to a public High School. It was all online for me. Just make sure they are accredited. The cost for a 4-year program is somewhere between $900 to $2000, depending on who you choose. The student works at his/her own pace and can take anywhere from 6 months to the full 4 years to complete. I attended James Madison High (www.pcdi.com). They’re material is easy to understand, yet challenging. There’s also Citizens’ High School, but I recommend JMHS. Good luck!

Not familiar with online degrees but know people who did it, it was a check mark. The employer has to decide if this person is applicable to the position, regardless of education. Take it from me, what most employers are lookiing ofr is aptitude, speed and enthusiasm. A GED is regarded just as well as a diploma, unless you are applying for student loan or the like.

If he can make a good living out of school I say “Go for it!” High school never did me much good-Im self educated pretty much. Tell him that the desire to learn is stronger than some piece of paper, and the desire to suceed at a job is what employers are looking for.

I believe that high school is for people who are well rounded. College on the other hand, is for everyone!! If high school is indicative of life, then life really sucks!! lol!

Depending on where you live, there may be a local community college that has programs for finishing high school, like a GED program. Some states now have what they call virtual high schools, where students can do their work online. The main problem with online learning is that the student has to be self-motivated and able to do the work without any supervision. He may want to see if the local high schools have evening classes that would help him finish his requirements.

You could look into GED programs, most employers say you must have a high school diploma or an equivalent, a GED is the equivalent. I’m not going to lie tho, taking the GED is harder than high school.
