I would say go back to the College you got your degree from and ask a counselor. You should know what you like to do, so you could start from that angle too. Think about what it is that you enjoy, and go from there. You may not need the exact degree that you have, but that might be a good way to get your foot in the door. Good luck.

I am 51 and still haven’t figured out what I want to be when I grow up (sigh).
But my advice would be to go to an employment couselor. Those at employment agencies are free of charge (for the assessment, if they find you a job, that could cost you).

I am curious how much you have racked up in student loans with all of these degrees (I am cringing at the thought of the amount).

To find my career, I flipped through the government career guide at the library. It was free and I found a career that I still love six years later.
You know what you are good at, you just might not know that there is a job out there where you can apply your skills.
Keep on trying and good luck, also, resumes don’t work….knock on doors to find the ideal job!
The book “what color is my parachute” is an excellent resource for job hunters, I highly recommend it.

Colleges have programs to help you figrue out wah tyou are good at. Try the public library too.

AND try temp services. I tried several jobs through temp serivces to help me decide what I liked to do. Try some volunteer jobs.

Public Administration? Have you thought about politics?

Go to a vocational school or a college and take some continuing education courses like photography, computer repair, cooking. I am taking about the short 6 week courses.

Point is try new things!! Anything. You never know what you will find.

When you are studying you have to be so totally focused on what you are doing, there’s always the pressure to meet deadlines and achieve high standards. As well you try to maintain a social & family life. Nearly everyone goes into a ’slump’ when they finish – a sort of reaction to the end of one part of your life and beginning of the next.
What you need to do now to help you decide is to take some time for yourself.
Think about what you realy like doing best – what you are most interested in- whether it’s business, arts being with other people – socialising or helping others. That will show you the way you should head now. I this day & age it’s not forever, you can change careers if you want to further down the track.
I remembe when I was at Uni the man who mowed the lawns had 3 degrees, but he had decided he’d rather have a simple out doors life & chose gardening.

you might hate accounting but there are always jobs available in it. bear this in mind when you (and if) need money to survive. while you survive, you can do a number of things to find out what you really want to do with regards to a career. At your college, there should be some kind of career counseling, go see them. Additionally, you should be able to take some career interest tests, that may prove helpful, speak to your schools career counselor or the equivalent about that… with regards to websites you can check out the following link and do some research on careers that may interest you:
http://www.bls.gov/oco/

also, go to google or any search engine and type in online career interest tests…
depending on whether or not you want to pay for their services is up to you, I can’t guide you on that since I never used any of them.

additionally, as I mentioned about the career interests tests, remember, they can tell what careers you may be interested in, but you will have to match that up with both your skill set and your education.

this online test is free and might be of help:

Best of Luck to you!

Just out of curiosity, what did you want to do as a kid? Cop, fireman, bus driver, bulldozer operator??? You don’t need a rip off consultant to give you a test—you have an education—figure it out for yourself.Did you really think a day after day job stuck in an office was going to be fun? Or rewarding? Are you capable of learning to operate a heavy equipment piece? The schools are not that long. The work is almost everyday and usually unionized. Before you switch or search for other work, remember—there are a lot of highly educated unemployed people out in the world, today. Stick with what you have and maybe do a parttime fun job to fill the need for a change. Volunteer at a hospital or become a volunteer fireman or EMT—if that’s what they have in your town. Can you play an instrument? Join a band that just does it for kicks in a garage. Restore an old car. Find something to fill the void and satisfy the urge to try another job. You seem to have too much time to worry about it—Everything that I mentioned is an example of meeting new people and you never know what they might be able to do for you—or you can do for them. I wish you gave me better details about your life, but you have the papers and that you should be proud of. They speak volumes for you..Best of luck–get out there and have some fun—wait till you drive a fire engine and really feel some power—after 33 years I still love every minute of it.
