Most major universities with a nursing school have a program where with a BS you can complete your nursing in 15 months. I know the University of Missouri has this program. It will be cheaper for you to do this at a Georgia school where you will have instate tuition.

Many schools that offer majors in nursing are getting into accelerated programs. With these programs, those with existing bachelors can apply their previous coursework to a BSN degree and, provided certain science and social science prerequisites are met, take just nursing classes and clinical experiences to earn a BSN. With this education and training, the student is eligible to sit for the NCLEX exam for an RN license.

If you are considering the online option for a nursing degree, I think that in many programs, students are able to complete the non-clinical portion of your course work via online classes and then complete the clinical portions at medical facilities close to your home. Some online nursing degrees may require students to spend a few days or weeks on campus, but some may not have a residency requirement.
