Getting a degree from the University of Phoenix is not a good idea. No employer will take it seriously.

University of Phoenix is regionally accredited. Your degree will be accredited as well.

Some degrees have professional accreditation as a plus for example business schools can have the plus of AACSB accreditation for their programs or teaching degrees accredited by NCATE.

However no degree will have professional accreditation if the institution does not have regional accreditation before.

In theory you should not have a problem with a regionally accredited degree however University of Phoenix has not a great reputation because of their unethical recruitment practices, expensive prices, low education quality and low paid facutly.

They were fined with $9.8 million dollars for unethical recruitment practices.

There are many good schools out there with a much better reputation, greater flexibility and much lower cost than University of Phoenix and of course fully accredited.
