honestly there is no way you can get a nursing degree online. Part of the class time involves alot of hands on, that includes going somewhere like a hospital or nursing home to learn. As to getting a masters in 2 years, very unlikely if not impossible. In 4 years you don’t get a masters, you get a bachelors. There is a 2 year degree for RNs (associates) community colleges usually offer those. Now if you really want to become a nurse and yet have to work you can always go part time. Alot of my friends have done that. Or you can start by going to LPN school also offered full time and part time

There is no way to get a degree online for nursing, unless you already have a certificate or an associates and are just getting your BA or Masters.

You have to start somewhere, and you also have to have clinicals in the hospital/clinic settings where you get the hands on experience. You can go and get a certificate for RN in 2 years, and then just take online classes afterwards to get you your associates then BA, then masters. You can also look into evening/weekend nursing programs that take 3 years instead of 2.

My advice – I wouldn’t start off with LPN, go straight for the RN. With the LPN you won’t make as much – and the only thing you CAN’T do is IV injections/drug administration. Basically you do all the crap work for the RN’s. Plus if you go for LPN, and then back again for your RN you could have saved the time and money and gone straight for the RN.
