ok i live in NYc which is a very diverse part of USA. Lately i noticed that affirmative action is completely working against me. I see people or even my friends getting hired for a high paying jobs without college or HS diploma, meanwhile i have completed 4 year degree from top university, many internships, and currently enrolled in MBA program and i cant find a job ( i applied to 750 jobs in last 3 months) I feel like when ever i apply online ans they ask me to circle weather i am black, spanish or white the whiteness goes against me. also when i took my police exam i got 90 and my hispanic friend got 65 they were considered “unofficial scores” when i got my results in the mail i had same 90 but he had 85! they gave him extra points because his hispanic!!! i dint mean to sound racist but that’s wrong!!!!!!
No it’s racism. I mean it helps different races (and sure these races might be glad of it) but if people are getting treated differently from other people purely because of their skin color, whether the outcomes have a positive or negative affect, it’s pretty much racist.
