Depends on the employer. With some employers, you would suffer a permanent loss of prestige if you display an obviously online degree, because your judgment would be assumed to be faulty.
If you have taken the online courses at a university that has legitimate admissions requirements (where admission is denied to most applicants), then the courses will definitely have merit.
If it is from an online university where the only admission requirement is $$$ (like “university” of phoenix), then dont expect to be taken seriously.
You would probably be better off taking online courses at your local community college instead of a for profit location like “university” of Phoenix.
Well now days accredited colleges offer online classes that they would accept in a transfer so a degree isn’t usually possible online with an accredited college however classes are. So depends on where you take the class.
