if i understand correctly, my little brother had the same thing
if it is, the doctor will simply put casts on his feet to encourage proper growth
and give you insturctions on how to help it once hes out of them
like putting the shoes on the wrong feet for a while

Of course it isn’t normal. How many people do you see walking with their feet pointed out like that? The doctor will explain what is going on with your baby.

Take him to the park and look at other people’s kids. Is he the same as them when it comes to positioning his feet? Don’t listen to self panickers until you see doctor….k?

You already have an appointment with the doctor. JUST DON’T leave his office until you are satisfied with his answer and if you can’t be satisfied, get a 2nd opinion.

This is not a decease which is hereditary,so do not worry.Do consult your doctor without fail.
Coming to your point this stretching of the legs some time occurs due to lack of certain vitamins in the mothers milk and should be substituted by food.
Please do give some physical massage to the entire leg from thigh to the toes. Even after the change in your diet with vitamins and the massage ,the child does not respond then you should take him to the pediatrician(Child Specialist)
Do not worry this can be (what ever it is) rectified because you as a mother have detected it in th early stages
