I am a pharmD student in the US. I want to know if anybody has made the transfer from the US to canada ( after graduation). How hard was it to transfer your degree ( especially in Quebec) and how long did you have to wait before being able to practice? ( I looked up the regulations online, but there is no time line given)
well i don’t know if this answer is really going to help you or not but here goes…
i am a tech and both the pharmacists that i work with are grads from the middle east. when they came here to ontario they were required to write several exams and do an internship which took them 2 years to complete and become licensed here. here in ontario we have the Ontario College of Pharmacists that regulates them and pharmacy. Quebec has one too but unfortunately when i went to their website (http://www.opq.org/eng/default.htm)
it said it was under construction. You can try the Ontario College of Pharmacists and see if they have a link to any other sources of information pertaining to Quebec.
