This exact thing is happening to my fiance. He went to college graduated top of his class with a bachlores in computer science. That was 5 yrs ago! The problem that he keeps running into
is companies use a 3rd party to hire out the work and the 3rd party companies already have workers for them. Another issue is they want someone with 3-5 yrs experience and with so many canidates applying usually there is someone with years of experience. Try getting in at an entry level to start off you might be suprised at how quickly you get moved up. Also try companies that offer Online support. I hope this helps!

Getting your degree was the right thing to do! Congratulations. You have a flexible degree and you will find a good paying job. It is really tough out there, but there are jobs. Are you utilizing your college placement center? They can help you with interviewing skills and your resume. They also should have job listings. Have you registered with you state sponsored “job service”? Maryland’s is at: https://mwe.dllr.state.md.us/default.asp?SessionUID=a If you haven’t please do. Try to borrow a bike. If you can bike to your local “job service,” assuming your town has one, you can use their computers. Your college probably has computers you can use as well in their placement center.

Keep applying for any part- time job you can, while you continue to look for full time work.

I wish I had a better answer for you. Try to stay positive. Good luck!
