Have you considered taking the your nursing studies online?

You mentioned one problem of having to leave work to go to school. If you take them online, it would eliminate the need to quit work. Also, many of the online nursing programs have accelerated degree program that let you configure your course schedules.

My wife completed her BS online and was able to double up on class load. She actually completed her BS in just one year this way. Just something for you to consider, as I know that online nursing programs are gaining a lot of popularity these days.

I would do either the AAS (2-3 years nights) or the Accelerated BSN ( 1 year)
