No point – online petitions don’t have much of a success rate – do they?

Perhaps if you find fault with it you should advise your children yourself and be confident in your own parenting skills, rather than banning education. They are not starting a “Hey kids, Gay is cool” fanclub. They are simply validating the few children that feel hopelessly isolated because they are gay and only ever hear about what a disease it is.

1. Online petitions aren’t effective.

2. If we don’t roundly educate our children, how will they ever learn to make decisions for themselves as adults? I don’t think it’s fair or “mature” to limit what our children learn, especially when it comes to sexuality. I’d rather my kids hear about it from a trained professional than from other students where they will recieve biased opinions most likely from closed-minded bigots.

I believe that every person has the right to their own sexual preferences and should be respected for those decisions. There’s bound to be one homosexual kid who would benefit from learning about safe homesexual sex. Would you really deny them of that? There’s nothing “wrong” about this. If they’re going to teach about heterosexual intercourse, then this should be covered as well.

If government would get out of education, we wouldnt be having these discussions.
