I have an A.S. in science. It is a Dietetic Technician Degree. I have always worked in the nursing field, and have 10 years plus experience.I wanted to go back for my R.N. degree and I have only all science classes left to complete. I can take 1 at a time because of the prereqs.Anyway, this will take two years, then the program is two years long ( i imagine). So, by the time I finish and graduated it will be 4-5 years from now. I really don’t know what to do. My hubby and I have two children, a 5 year old and a 10 month old.He cannot drive (has epilepsy) and is not controlled. I take him to school three times a week. I don’t have much time to go to school for me or even work full time. SO, should I continue to try and go to school, or go to online school and try to get a degree in health admin. or something in the health management field? What would you do? Or your best advise?
I talked to a career counselor recently from Jobs and Family Services, and HE said that the vocational field that has the most promising job availability is Healthcare.
I hope that helps.
