Why do people think it is a good school? Do they have specialized fields of study?

Like what programs and grades and ACT or SAT scores do u need?

In which month of the year 2010 does the academic year start at Harvard University? I believe its the same for all US universities but I’m not sure. It would be great if you know the month in which MIT starts as well.

Does anyone have any good links to some good sources? I am looking for an educational magazine or journal, mostly catering to teachers.

I’ve been looking at some sites looking for a good distance learning program that leads to a PhD in science (such as Chemistry or Environmental Science ) or Engineering. But it seems you don’t have to be an expert to realize that many of these are really big money-making scams. Any suggestions?
