Would a Masters Information Systems be a good degree to study online? How do employers and persons in general respond to a person would studied for a degree online?

I’m trying to decide if an MBA from University of Phoenix is well viewed by companies or if it’s a waste of money.
Also is you know of other universities in california who also offer online MBA programs please let me know of them. I would prefer a real school over phoenix.

I am considering attending UMUC and getting a Master’s but I am leary. My only reason is for having something to put on my resume, but I can go volunteer for that and not spend the $30k.. anyone have any experience with employers?
