I really want to obtain a career in social work and have to find a GOOD online university. I used to attend the University of Phoenix but felt uneasy about school as a whole. Some opinions about NYU online and taking this program would be great! Thanks
NYU is a fine university. You will want to make sure that your actual degree is the same degree you would get if you went to NYU as a non-online student. If the degree (that is your transcript and diploma) don’t say “online” then you are golden.
Now you should know that a BA in social science in and of itself will not qualify you for a career in social work. You will need a degree in social work. Your degree from NYU will allow you to go to any MSW program you can gain admission in (there are no online accredited MSW programs at this time).
