I have been unemployed for a month now and I am interested in going to an 100% online university. Almost every job out there requires some type of degree. I definately have the experience these employers want, all I’m lacking is a piece of paper from a university. It gets pretty depressing at times. As I type this I don’t receive any income, and I am living off of my savings account which won’t last much longer. I have a deputy hearing with the employment commission on Thursday, and I am afraid I won’t get to receive my unemployment benefits.
Should I wait until I find a job before going back to school, or is now the best time even though I don’t have any income? Thanks!
Yes I do want my bachelors degree. I will work on my associates first then go for my bachelors.
Have you tried getting scholarships, or help from the government? since you don’t have an income, you could qualify for a government grant through FAFSA. If you can get schooling paid for, or some of it at least, you can go to school and pay for living expenses through just any full-time job ($10/hr or something). It will set you back a couple of years, but it will be worth it at the end. (I’m assuming you want to get a bachelors degree from a university)
