I live in England and I heard that universities can look at you online, like look at your footprint online, like facebook, hotmail, yahoo!a etc. is it true?
They can search you on Facebook and look at what you’ve been up to to judge your character. Is this true with Yahoo!Answers? Will they be able to see my answers/questions?
Is ANY of this true? And if so, how do they do it and to what extent?
They have no way of knowing your online IDs if you don’t tell them. They could find you on facebook if you don’t make your account private, but most won’t bother looking. Some schools will look you up if they can’t make a decision, but they’ve said if they find anything at all, it’s usually something that makes you look bad (party pictures, making stupid faces or drinking, youtube videos of any sort).
