I am wondering why it is that you want to get a degree. If your business is fine, and you don’t intend on having to get another job which would require a degree, then I don’t see the point in getting a degree, especially one that is worth relatively little. By your description, neither of the degree programs that you are looking into seem to result in you getting a bachelors degree (a lesser degree doesn’t get anyone very far, so why not make the four year commitment?). I think it would help you get more answers if you repost with information regarding why you need or want the degree, and what kind of degree (associates perhaps? I have no idea what a “general degree” is, unless it is just a certification of some kind) you are actually pursuing. Any advice I could give is meaningless without the context you can provide by answering the above questions.

It’s not clear why you want a degree, but if you do, you don’t have to go full-time. It takes longer, but you end up with the same thing.

You might consider getting an AA degree at a community college, then transfrring to a 4-year.

Most schools offr night classes, or you could just go, say, Tue & Thur or somthing.

As for your actual question, it depends. If you aren’t really interested in the schooling itslf, and option 1 does whatever you need it to do, then go for that.

(It’s not the length of the story, but the relevance of the details you should care about — WHY do you want any degree? Leaving that out hampers our ability to help.)

BTW, education isn’t only about money.
