What if I’m enrolled in community college in New york… say online courses but in the middle of the semester something happens and i have to move to another state… Can i still finish my online course and then transfer? I dont want to mess anything up with my Financial Aid, and I want to start college very soon but I do have some stability issues at this point but I feel that i cannot put this off anymore. Is there any online colleges or universities that take financial aid? FYI im a young single mom with 2 kids under 4. Can i get any type of grants from NY? This stuff is confusing.
Most community colleges offer online classes. Go to the one closest to you and ask. As long as you choose a class (or classes) that are entirely online (and doesn’t require you to go in and take tests) then it shouldn’t matter where you live when you finish up the last part of the semester. Most community colleges also will take federal financial aid from http://fafsa.ed.gov
Don’t go to one of those ALL online schools… the cost will be absolutely astronomical and you’ll be lucky to ever be taken seriously when you go to look for a job.
