I am going to get my bachelor degree soon in May, AMen, i need a summer job that pays good enough and i was thinking pharmacy tech but i know you need to get the certificate, my mum said you could just study for it and take the test but i was wondering do i have to take classes to become one, and if do is there some kind of online school that i could get a quick certificate. or could i just get a review book and study and take the exam. my other confusion is do you need to take classes to become a pharmacy tech or does the classes help you with the pharmacy tech certification exam. please help i am confused.
My mom is a pharmacist and alot of techs she hires don’t have a certificate or any experience. She tends to hire people that are in school or have a college education even if it isn’t in pharmacy. Go to your local pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist about getting a job. I know at Kroger pharmacy my mom works at, some of her techs were paid to take a class to get certified. It’s worth a shot go out and talk to a pharmacist.
