1. Aerospace engineering, has nothing to do with aerospace propulsion.

Aerospace engineering, is basically mechanical engineering, that focus’s on aircraft design and materials.

2. After you have your 5 level, you can go to school in your off duty hours. You can take class’s offered at the base education office ( generally lower level class’s taught by contract instructors) , at a local university or online from whatever online school you want to take class’s from.

3. truthfully the AF doesn’t care if you take college class’s or not, that’s entirely up to you.

They will NOT let you off work, to go take a college class.

4. The availability of class’s, just depends on where you are based and if the local university has alot of class’s at night.

But your assuming you will be working in the day time, and chances are, after your 5 level training, you will be working 2nd or 3 rd shift, not day shift.

5. Hand on training, there is no hands on training for a aerospace engineering major.

You will be taking class’s like calculus ( several years worth ), calculus based chemistry, calculus based physics, thermodynamics, materials structure
