I’ve taken 2 online courses (from a brick & mortar school) and had a great experience both times, having talked with students who did the same courses in class there didn’t seem to be any real difference.

online classes can be actually more than the classroom-based counterpart. You can have discussions that can last all week instead of just one class period.

Nowadays higher education via online courses are preferred by students because such courses provide more time flexibility and student-centered teaching approach. Online courses earned from an accredited online university are approved by US Dept of Education and such degree are then preferred by the employers. Here are some recognized online courses

Online classes aren’t so very different from traditional classes — except for the whole “school in your pajamas” aspect of it!

There is a lot of work involved in online classes. Some require specific log-ins for discussions, while others make you log-in to participate up to a few times a week.

Your experience will depend a lot on the college you are taking courses from! Is it accredited? From a brick and mortar college or university? Many brick and mortar colleges provide the same degree and don’t differentiate between online and on-campus student — some even let you take a combination of classes.

The main difference is that there is no one to remind you about upcoming due dates or papers. It’s completely dependent on you, which can be overwhelming for some who lack time management skills.
