Hi Joshua

The weighted GPA you listed is used for HS ranking only. the Admissions office at the colleges and universities will recalculate your academic coursework on a 4.0 scale.

Texas HS grads in the top 8% [not 10%] are guaranteed a place at UT-Austin or Texas A&M-College Station. If you are not in that group, you are competing for one of the slots in the remaining 40% of places.

BS/MD programs in Texas include Rice/Baylor, Bayloir/Baylor, The University of Texas at Dallas/
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, UTSA/UTSA, Texas A & M University System Health Science Center College of Medicine, Texas Tech/Texas Tech, and UT-Austin starts one in 2013.
